An IACG Student Won The Rookies’ Global Art Challenge
The Rookies - Monthly Art Challenge: After Dark
The Rookies — a global stage where young creatives from the best schools in the world come together to compete, learn, and shine. It’s a platform that recognizes the brightest emerging talent in animation, VFX, games, and design.
Every month, The Rookies host exciting challenges that push boundaries and spark imagination. One such event is the Monthly Art Challenge. And this month, the theme was “After Dark.”
From across the globe, 118 students submitted their entries, representing 53 schools from 25 countries. The competition was intense. The creativity? On another level.
But from all corners of the world... IACG Multimedia stood tall.
Four of our students made it to the finals —
Uday Kumar, Jagan Rao, Shiva Prasan, and Rohit Maravada.
Among them, Kavali Uday Kumar was recognized in the Highly Commended category for his outstanding effort.
And here’s the proudest moment —
P. Jagan Rao from IACG was crowned the Winner of the Monthly Art Challenge for his incredible artwork titled “Good Night.”
In a contest filled with global talent, IACG once again proved that Indian creativity leads with vision and passion.
This is not just a win for Jagan — it’s a win for every dreamer at IACG.
An IACG Student Named Finalist in The Rookies’ Global Art Challenge
The Rookies – Monthly Art Challenge: Small Wonders
The Rookies — a global platform where young creatives from the world’s best schools come together to learn, compete, and grow. Known for spotlighting emerging talent in animation, VFX, games, and design, The Rookies' Monthly Art Challenge continues to inspire the next generation of storytellers.
Each month, students are given a theme to explore through their imagination and artistic skills. This time, the theme was “Small Wonders.”
The challenge asked students to look closely at the tiniest details that often go unnoticed — from the textures of nature to miniature worlds and magical moments in everyday life.
Among hundreds of impressive entries, one concept stood out for its charm and storytelling — and it came from IACG.
We’re proud to share that Rohith Srivastava, a talented student of IACG Multimedia College, was selected as a Finalist in the Open Category for his beautiful and heartfelt artwork titled:
“Antonio & JuliAnt – A Sweet Proposal”
In the soft golden light of the jungle, Antonio stands on his tiny legs, holding up a sugar cube ring on a blade of grass. His heart races as he looks at Juliant, hoping she’ll say yes.
Juliant’s eyes light up with joy, her antennae twitching with excitement. She smiles warmly, touched by Antonio’s love. In that simple, beautiful moment, the little sugar cube becomes a symbol of something big — a love as sweet as sugar.
The concept was not only visually engaging but emotionally rich — capturing the heart of what Small Wonders truly represents.
In a challenge filled with creative brilliance from across the globe, IACG continues to stand out as a place where young minds are nurtured to see beyond the obvious — and tell stories that matter.
This isn’t just a recognition for Rohith — it’s a proud moment for every creative soul at IACG who believes that even the smallest ideas can spark something big.
