Young India Skills University was established on 1st August 2024 through an Act of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly, with a transformative vision to redefine higher education through skill-based learning and industry-aligned academic programs.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana serves as the Chancellor of the University, while the Board of Governors is chaired by Anand Mahindra, reinforcing strong leadership and industry integration at the highest level. YISU has also secured UGC 2(f) recognition, enabling it to offer undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programs in accordance with the national higher education framework.
