YISU
Young India Skills University was established on 1st August 2024 through an Act of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly, with a transformative vision to redefine higher education through skill-based learning and industry-aligned academic programs.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana serves as the Chancellor of the University, while the Board of Governors is chaired by Anand Mahindra, reinforcing strong leadership and industry integration at the highest level. YISU has also secured UGC 2(f) recognition, enabling it to offer undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programs in accordance with the national higher education framework.
What sets YISU apart is its emphasis on industry-driven curriculum, hands-on practical training, and immersive real-world learning experiences, effectively bridging the gap between education and employment. Recognized as one of the first specialized universities of its kind in the country, JNAFAU is headquartered at Mahavir Marg, Masab Tank, Hyderabad. The university is uniquely focused on fine arts and the built environment, offering a diverse range of programs that blend tradition with innovation.
For decades, JNAFAU has been nurturing talent in classical disciplines such as architecture, painting, sculpture, applied arts, and photography. In response to technological advancements and changing societal demands, the university has also introduced contemporary programs including urban and regional planning, facilities and services planning, digital techniques, interior design, and animation.
